EPCC Luncheon
Josh Bell is the Executive Director of the Beemok Family Foundation, which advances the visionary philanthropy of Ben Navarro. The Foundation has a primary focus on education and mental health. The flagship program is the Meeting Street Scholarship Fund, a ten-county college promise scholarship providing up to $40,000 for high-achieving public-school graduates with limited means to pay for college. He launched his career in education as a middle school teacher in the Teach For America program, and went on to serve as Founding Executive Director of Teach For America - South Carolina, where he helped recruit more than 450 teachers to high-need SC classrooms. He later founded the Charleston Coalition For Kids, an education advocacy organization focused on bold, outcomes-driven Charleston County School Board governance and leadership. He graduated from Clemson University in 2008, and lives in Charleston with his wife Kathleen, and their three children.
